Tattoo Cover-up and Rework

Yesterday, I started a massive cover-up tattoo and rework job on Rob's back. He already had some really awesome black and grey arm sleeve work done several years ago by L.A. Ink and Six Feet Under veteran tattoo artist (and old friend), Corey Miller.  I knew that Rob was an educated tattoo customer that has had great and bad experiences in the tattoo industry so, it was important for me to make sure that he (as I do with all of my customers) was well taken care of.

The Japanese phoenix will cover-up most of the background and when the phoenix tattoo is finished, we will move on to reworking the other tattoo work on his back. Check out the video and let me know what you guys think!

Update on Scott's japanese leg sleeve tattoo by jason dunn

Here is another tattoo video update.  This is some footage from last week we took of Scott's leg after a few hours under the needles.  We got a good start on his dragon/koi leg tattoo and here is the progress so far.  Enjoy!

Foo Dog Tattoo Leg Sleeve by Jason Dunn

Hey Y'all, here is a video I slapped together using my new Flip Camera.  I just love this new device. I think you are going to love it to because I can post videos right away using this cam.

Here is the start of a new japanese style tattoo leg sleeve.  My new customer and friend, Daniel came over Sunday to get started tattooing his foo dogs.  This will be a long process and we will soon be inking a dragon on there as well.

D as I call him came by with some of my favorite cigars for an after tattoo treat.  He brought some Gurkas and Rocky Patel's.  After 8 plus hours of drilling in the begining stages of the foo dogs we sat back with a New Castle and a smoke.  Great fun D.  Looking forward to getting back to this leg sleeve that will sure to be a piece of fine art some day!

Jason Dunn Tattoo Updates!

Lot's O' Tattoos to update you all on.  I figured I would just make one post here and put up a bunch of new work to show you.  Sorry we haven't posted in a bit but I wanted everyone to see the The Sycamore Inn Art Show flyer.

Here is an update on Scott's Japanese tattoo leg sleeve.  We worked out some colour last night on the dragon and we are trying to get it ready for the Hell City Tattoo Convention in September.

Next we have the beautiful Renee and her dia de los muertos tattoo girl and roses.  We opted to go for a bit of a different look by doing this in blues and doing the roses in an orange yellow.  By the way you can all thank Renee for putting together such a wonderful Art show for me at the Sycamore Inn.  Thank You Renee.

Here we have Alyssa's Horseshoe star tattoo.  She sat like a champ for her first tattoo.  Not bad ehh?

Now for my main man Magical Trever.  He came back in for a second detail pass on his batman tattoo and we dialed it in and added a background of abstract bats and coloured sky.  This pic does not do the tattoo any justice but it's an update none the less.  More to come guy's.  So stay tuned.  This weekend I am starting another japanese leg sleeve with foo dogs and a black and grey phoenix and buddha tattoo 3/4 sleeve.  So happy healing guy's and see you soon.

The Sycamore Inn Art show for Jason Dunn Update!

First and foremost let me thank everyone who came out to support me and my crew.  We had a blast and thanks to everyone who purchased prints.

For all of you who could not join us, the wine was flowing and the blues was smooth.  Many came out and enjoyed the wine tasting and we set up my art all over The sycamore Inn inside and out!  If you havent been to the Sycamore Inn  you will be in for a treat at our next show there.

The place is nestled just off of foothill on the Rancho Cucamonga and Upland Border.  Trees are everywhere you look and when you come up the steps and step inside this old building you feel like you are entering an old classy lounge with a full bar.  The Manager, Robert and the crew are a class act and never leave ya hangin.

Elvira Tattoo Portrait

On Tuesday I started a "Horror Movie Women" themed sleeve. The first portrait of the sleeve was Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. When John came to me with this idea I was really excited to get started. This is the first opportunity I will have to tattoo the classic horror movie "femmes fatales", like Elvira, the Bride of Frankenstein, and Sheri Moon Zombie.

We were very pleased with the Elvira portrait. I think I might tighten a few things up when its healed but, overall this was a really fun tattoo to do. Let me know what you guys think by leaving your comments below!
