I thought I would share a site I came across a while back. This site was developed by artist Michael Matessi. The aim of the site is for anyone from a working artist or someone just getting started in drawing. Michael goes through drawing procedures using what he calls FORCE DRAWING of the object and helps bring your drawings to life.
His Library of videos cover a broad spectrum:
• Figure Drawing
• Character Design
• Animal Drawings
• Perspective, Etc...
I especially enjoyed the videos on perspective, where Matessi goes over the "cube" and explains point perspective in an easy to follow example. This really helped me when thinking about drawing the human head and getting those dynamic angles down for my tattoo designs.
He offers a few different sign up packages and a few books on drawing. I personally went for the 6 month deal. I say money spent on education is priceless. So do yourself a favor and get back to to the rudiments of drawing and give yourself a challenge, or just a refresher using a new perspective in drawing.
